Budgetoid Support

Need help with Budgetoid or want to share feedback? This page explains how to reach the developer and what information helps resolve issues faster.

Last updated: December 1, 2025

Overview

Budgetoid is built as a simple, local-first budgeting app. Most issues can be solved quickly if you send a short description of the problem together with a few technical details.

Please avoid including sensitive data such as full card numbers or personal IDs in your email. Screenshots of the app UI are fine as long as they don’t show private information.

Direct email support

How to contact support

The best way to contact the developer is by email:

Email: support@budgetoid.com

In most cases you’ll receive a reply within a few business days, depending on workload and time zone.

Information that helps us debug

When you report a bug or problem, including the following details makes it much easier to reproduce and fix the issue:

  • Device model (for example, iPhone 15, Pixel 8, iPad Pro 11")
  • Operating system version (iOS / iPadOS / Android)
  • Budgetoid app version (from the app settings or store page)
  • A short step-by-step description of what you did
  • Screenshots or a short screen recording (optional)

Please double-check that screenshots don’t expose sensitive financial data you don’t want to share.

Feature requests & feedback

If you have an idea for a new feature or an improvement, feel free to send it to the same support email.

To make your suggestion more useful, you can mention:

  • What problem you’re trying to solve
  • How you currently work around it in Budgetoid or elsewhere
  • Any specific details that matter (for example, multiple currencies, families, small business, etc.)

Not every feature can be added, but all suggestions are read and considered when planning future updates.

Common questions

A few quick answers to questions that come up frequently:

  • “Where is my data stored?” – Budgetoid is local-first. Your budgeting data is stored on your device. Future optional cloud sync will be strictly opt-in.
  • “Can you restore my data if I delete the app?” – No. Since data is stored locally, deleting the app usually removes it. Please make your own backups (for example, device backups or exports when this feature is available).
  • “Do you track my personal budget?” – Budgetoid uses Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics only for technical diagnostics. Details are described in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy & data

If your question is specifically about privacy, analytics or data handling, please check the Privacy Policy first. It explains:

  • What data is stored on your device
  • What limited analytics and crash data may be collected
  • How future cloud sync will be handled when it becomes available

You can find the Privacy Policy here: budgetoid.com/privacy-policy

When you don’t need to contact support

Some issues can be fixed without waiting for a reply:

  • Try restarting the app and, if possible, the device.
  • Make sure you’re using the latest version of Budgetoid from the App Store or Google Play.
  • If the app crashes on a specific screen, avoid that screen until an update with a fix is available.

If the problem persists or blocks you from using the app, please send a bug report by email.
